If there is a red mark, then click on the icon with your mouse, and that will unmute the audio. At the bottom right corner, click on the volume icon and ensure no red mark is visible. I have attached images of everything I can think of but if you need more let me know. In order to unmute the VLC no-sound Linux, first open your VLC media player. I also checked all my settings in my computers sound settings for my mic and headphones and they were all correct. It was working earlier today before I tried to change from one track to two but not now. I do not stream, at all, but I put that in the screens too just incase there is something in there that could be affecting it.

My Mic and Mic/Aux seem to be the same thing and when I disable one they both go out so I am just leaving them both for track 2. Now, using VLC 3.03 when I use the Convert/Save route to change the MPEG2 to Mp3, file being saved in a different folder and with a different name, I get stuck in a the output file already exists. If the recording continues, the file will be overridden and its content will be lost loop. This is really annoying and prevents me from using VLC for those files, which, by the way, play completely ok in Media Player. Although I did try recording with it enabled and it still did not work. The sound plays ok, than dissappears for a second or two, than re-appears. mkv format and I do not have the mp4remux setting enabled. I only use (non-mic) headphones on my laptop, My mic is a RODE wireless go 11, I record in. I have the desktop set to track 1 and mic set to track 2. There is no audio of me speaking only the green line fluctuating. While recording the green bar fluctuates so it is capturing sound but when I go to watch in either the movie player or edit in shotcut the only track shown is the desktop which is working fine.
